Everest Classic Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek from Jiri is the original trail to reach Everest Base Camp, way back when there was no airport in Lukla. The trail from Jiri to Everest Base Camp is used by many expedition teams to reach the summit of the Himalayas, most notable in history, includes Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgey Sherpa. We will be spending the first eight days trekking through beautiful villages, thundering rivers, ascending and descending the trail and acclimatizing our body to reach Lukla and further. Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is nearly a month long holiday in the Himalayas to explore the beauty of these silvering mountains. Combined with the Everest Base Camp Trek from Lukla, the Everest Base Camp trek from Jiri is an ideal option to spend about a month-long vacation in the Himalayas.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel, cultural dinner in the evening
Day 02: Kathmandu to Jiri [1,955M / 6,463FT]
Day 03: Trek to Bhandar [2,190M / 7,185FT]
Day 04: Trek to Sete [2,580M / 8,464FT]
Day 05: Cross Lamjura Pass [3,530M / 11,581FT] and trek to Junbesi [2,670M / 8,759FT]
Day 06: Trek to Nunthala [2,330M / 7,644FT]
Day 07: Trek to Bupsa [2300M / 7,544FT]
Day 08: Trek to Surkhe [2,290M / 7, 513FT]
Day 09: Trek to Phakding [2,610M / 8,562FT]
Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar [3,440M / 11,286FT]
Day 11: Rest and acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, optional activities
Day 12: Trek to Tengboche
Day 13: Trek to Dingpoche
Day 14: Rest / acclimatisation day around Dingpoche, hike to Chhukung if you feel fine
Day 15: Trek to Lobuche
Day 16: Trek to Gorak Shep, hike to Everest Base Camp and return to Gorakshep
Day 17: Hike to Kalapatthar early morning for stunning Himalayan views, trek back to Pangboche
Day 18: Trek to Namche Bazaar, celebration day in Namch
Day 19: Trek to Lukla, final night in Himalaya
Day 20: Fly to Kathmandu early morning, transfer to Hote
Day 21: Departure from Kathmandu
